The "budget" ECU is designed for a person on a budget, it will make the same power (+/- a few hp) of the others designed for a stage 3 setup. My car did over 400 rwhp with the race gas version of the budget ECU. It has run as fast as 122 MPH in the 1/4 mile, so you can get an idea of its power. The standard ECU will be dynoed, but I will tell you that my car will not be a good example, so I need to find another. The dyno cost will be one reason why it will be more expensive.
